The Mary Santosuosso Aviation Scholarships
These awards are in the amount of $1,000 each and are to be used for obtaining advanced pilot certificates or ratings. One application makes a candidate eligible for both scholarships. Applicants must be a female with at least a Private Pilot certificate residing in the Southwest Section of the Ninety-Nines.

Minimum Requirements:
The applicant
must be a female with at least a private pilot certificate.
Limitations and Restrictions:
The recipient MUST
utilize the funds at a flight school approved by Coyote Country Chapter of the
Ninety-Nines, Inc within one year.Applicants should
reside in the South Western Section of the 99’s and must attend a flight school
located in:
San Diego, Riverside, Imperial, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange,
Santa Barbara, or Ventura Counties.
Disbursement of Funds:
The
recipient shall designate a flight school of their choice, subject to the
restrictions above.The Coyote Country
Chapter of the Ninety-Nines, Ins. will establish an account in the recipients
name at the designated flight school.As
bills are incurred the Coyote Country Chapter will pay all flight school
expenses directly to the flight school, up to $1,000.00.The recipient shall be responsible for any
additional amount.
Selection of Recipient:
The applications for the scholarships will be judged by an independent jury. The winners will be selected based on the submitted material, including financial need.The decision of the jury is final.
