Ninety-Nines Flight Scholarships
The Pam Van Der Linden Memorial Scholarship
This award of $3,000 is to be used for obtaining advanced pilot certificate or rating.
Minimum Requirements:
The applicant must be a female with at least a private pilot certificate.
Limitations and Restrictions:
The recipient MUST utilize the funds at a flight school approved by Coyote Country Chapter of the Ninety-Nines, Inc within one year.
Applicants must attend a flight school located in:
San Diego, Riverside, Imperial, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange, Santa Barbara, or Ventura Counties in Southern California.

The Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund
Each year Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarships are awarded to Ninety-Nines members for fully funded advanced flight training, jet type ratings and technical training. Partial funding of $10,000 per year is awarded for academic scholarships. In addition, the AEMSF provides Research Scholarship Grants and First Wings Awards for deserving and active Student Pilot members of the Organization.
The Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund "First Wings Now" award is a reimbursement based scholarship of up to $6,000 towards the Private Pilot based on completion of specific training milestones. It is available to Student Pilot Members of The 99s who meet eligibility requirements.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a student pilot certificate, have been an official Student Pilot Member of the Ninety-Nines 90 days prior to the application deadlines (Spring - April 1 and Fall - Oct 1st), show financial need, have a realistic plan (detailed in their essay) to fund the cost of training not covered by the award so they may complete their Private Pilot within 18 months of winning and be a participating chapter member.
The financial awards for the milestones are as follows:
Knowledge Test - $500
First Solo - $2500
Long Solo Cross Country -$2000
Earning Certificate - $1000

The San Diego Chapter 99s also offers several awards annually to SoCal aviatrixes or any member of the Ninety-Nines Southwest Section:
Nancy Stratford $1,200 to San Diego County residents with at least a Private Pilot. Due Mar 31st
Marian Delano Memorial $1500 for student or advanced, must be a Southwest Section 99. Due May 31st
Darlene Kelly Memorial Advanced Rating/Certificate $2,000 Must be a Southwest Section 99. Due Aug 31st
Dottie Sanders Memorial $1,000 for any SWS 99 or San Diego county female pilot. Due June 30th

The Palomar Chapter 99s gives two awards annually
Student Pilot $1500 Scholarship for female resident of San Diego County ages 17-99. Due Oct 31st
Advanced Pilot $1500 Scholarship for female residents of San Diego County OR any Member of the Southwest Section of the Ninety-Nines - Due March 31st
